I’m Sayli, a Marketing and Social Media Strategist with a rich background in content creation, creative strategy, storytelling, and copywriting.
Born and brought up in Mumbai, I grew up in a world full of chaos, stories, and spices. I spent over five years working in performance marketing, writing ads, strategizing campaigns, and learning how people think, feel, and respond. That’s where my love for storytelling through marketing really took shape.
But as much as I loved the work I was doing in India, a part of me kept whispering, “What if there’s more?” So I packed up that curiosity and moved to Canada, to study, to grow, and to see what life looks like when you start over in a new place. I spent two years learning, unlearning, observing, and adapting. It wasn’t easy, but it felt right.
And I think that’s what makes it special.
Professionally, I work at the intersection of strategy and storytelling. I understand people deeply, it’s one of the things I’ve always been told, and I think that shows up in the way I write, create, and think. I’ve worked as a copywriter, and a creative strategist, and now, I’m stepping into roles that go beyond just words because marketing is no longer just about what you say but how you make people feel.
Beyond work, I’m a mix of many things that don’t always fit neatly into a LinkedIn headline. I’m trained in Rabindra Sangeet for three years and Indian classical music for one. Music has always been my safe space, the one thing that brings me back to myself when everything else feels too loud. I also studied filmmaking, to understand how stories move on screen. I’ve written screenplays and acted in short films and in theatre. In May 2024, I did a stage performance in Canada, a Marathi play that brought together two homes: the one I left behind, and the one I’m building now.
When I’m not writing or singing, you’ll probably find me with a paintbrush in hand. I’ve turned my room into a little museum of my own drawings, paintings, and quick midnight sketches that somehow end up saying the most.
I’m also a big believer in small joys, like sitting by the beach (total Pisces thing, I know), sipping chai on a rainy day, or watching cats be their wonderfully weird selves. I adore them, by the way. Cats. They just get me. As for food, I’m a true Mumbai girl at heart. Give me seafood in coconut curry, or anything with a spicy kick, and I’ll be smiling from ear to ear.
So yeah, this is me. Not just the marketer, not just the writer, but the person behind it all. Quietly observing. Constantly creating. Always feeling a little too much.
